Working with the engineering team and other specialists, we shot a series of icicle drop tests to capture the speed at impact in order to test the durability of the roofing material for Olympic Stadium in Montreal
We were contracted by Pomerleau to aid their engineering teams in testing the durability of the new roofing material that was selected to be used on the new Olympic Stadium rooftop; namely, its ability to withstand the impact of high-speed icicles.
Our mission was to use slow-motion videography techniques coupled with precise time and distance measurments to capture, measure, and register the speed of the icicles at their moment of impact.
